This double plug socket saves space for powering appliances such as tablets and phones etc can be charged using the 2 USB points, leaving both plug sockets free. The type A USB outlet has a 5V DC, 2.4A charging output. The type C USB has a 5V DC, 3A charging output. When both ports are in use, 4.2A of charge and the type C USB gets full 3A priority, type A gets 1.2A.
